Getting Started with Aurelua
A 5-minute read before you set up your shop.
What is Aurelua?
Aurelua is the simplest way for South African Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp sellers to take orders and get paid online. We turn your existing social-media content into a real online store — with WhatsApp checkout, Instant EFT, and buyer protection built in.
You don't need a website builder. You don't need to upload products one by one. You don't need a tech team.

What it costs:

How it works (60-second version)
- You hand us your Instagram handle. We pull your photos, products, and brand info into a beautiful store template.
- You claim the store. Add a verification code to your IG bio, then take ownership in 2 minutes.
- You share the link. Drop
aurelua.com/yourbrandin your IG bio, WhatsApp status, or any DM. Buyers tap, browse, check out. - We handle the payment. The buyer pays by card or Instant EFT. The money is released to you at payment once your identity and bank details are verified, otherwise when the buyer confirms delivery, or automatically seven days after the order is marked delivered if they never do. Then you cash out to your bank from your Payouts page.
Before you start, you'll need
- ✅ An active Instagram account that's public, with at least 4-5 product photos
- ✅ A working WhatsApp number — this is how buyers will message you
- ✅ An email address — for login and order notifications
- ✅ Your bank account details — for payouts (you can add these later)
That's it. No business registration required to start. (You'll need it eventually for tax — we'll point you in the right direction when the time comes.)

A word from the founder
I built Aurelua because I watched too many South African creators losing sales in their DMs.
A buyer asks "how much for the red one?" → you screenshot a price → they say "do you take EFT?" → you send your bank details → they say "do I send proof?" → 30 minutes later you're still chasing the payment, and 40% of buyers have already lost interest.
