Data Deletion

You can ask Aurelua (“Aurelua”) to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time — including anything we imported from your Instagram account. This page explains exactly how, and what happens next.

1. Data imported from Instagram

If you connected your Instagram professional account (via Instagram Business Login), we stored your Instagram username and account ID and the images, captions, and post links we used to build your storefront. To have this removed:

  • Disconnect Aurelua from Instagram — in Instagram, go to Settings → Apps and websites and remove Aurelua. This immediately revokes our access to your account. We stop pulling any further data at once.
  • Request deletion of what we already imported — email us (details below) from the email address on your Aurelua account, or include your Instagram username, and ask us to delete your imported Instagram data. We delete that data — and the preview storefront generated from it — within 30 days.

2. Deleting your whole account

If you want us to delete your entire Aurelua account and all associated personal information, email us using the request details below. We will delete or anonymise your data, subject to the limited records we are legally required to keep (see section 4).

3. How to make a request

Email info@aurelua.com with the subject “Data deletion request”, and tell us:

  • the email address on your Aurelua account (or your Instagram username), and
  • whether you want us to delete your imported Instagram data only or your entire account.

We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, to protect your data from unauthorised deletion requests. There is no charge for this.

4. Timeline and what we keep

  • We acknowledge your request within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.
  • Instagram-imported data (profile info and media) and any storefront built from it are deleted in full.
  • We may retain a limited set of records where the law requires it — for example order and tax records for up to 5 years — as described in our Privacy Policy. These are kept only for that legal purpose and are not used for anything else.
