Buyer Protection

A small Buyer Protection fee is built into the price at checkout — you'll always see the exact total before you pay, no surprises. It funds the protection that makes buying from a new brand safe:

  • Escrow — your money is held until you confirm you're happy
  • Full refund if the item never ships or isn't as described
  • Fraud protection on every order
  • Encrypted card + instant-EFT payments (Paystack, Ozow)

The fine print

Payment processing

Card and instant-EFT payments are processed by Paystack and Ozow. Their processing fees are covered by the Buyer Protection fee — they are not deducted from your payout. You keep 100% of your sale price.

Refunds

When an order is refunded under our Refund Policy, the buyer is refunded in full — including the Buyer Protection fee. Because funds are held in escrow until the buyer confirms delivery, refunds on undelivered or not-as-described orders are clean and fast.

VAT & tax

Prices are in South African Rand (ZAR). Sellers are responsible for any tax due on income earned through the platform. For VAT-registered Sellers, prices may be displayed inclusive of VAT and a tax invoice can be generated per order.

For buyers

You pay the item price plus delivery, with a small Buyer Protection fee built into the total. The exact amount is always shown before you confirm — no hidden costs. That fee funds escrow, fraud cover, and refunds, so buying from a new brand is safe.
