Prohibited and Restricted Products Policy

Version 1.0 · Prepared 20 September 2026 · Effective on publication

Marketplace rules for lawful, authentic and safe listings.

Core rule. A Product may be listed only if the Seller can lawfully own, advertise, sell and deliver it and can prove authenticity, source, safety and any required licence. Silence in this Policy is not approval.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to every Aurelua listing, store, message and transaction. It supplements the Terms of Use. Aurelua may apply stricter category rules, provider rules or legal restrictions and may pause a listing while checking it.

2. Prohibited products

The following may not be listed or sold:

  • counterfeit, fake, replica, unauthorised or trademark-infringing goods, including goods described with terms intended to disguise counterfeit status;
  • stolen goods, goods without lawful title, tampered serial-number goods or property obtained through fraud;
  • illegal drugs, controlled substances, drug-manufacturing equipment or products promoted for unlawful use;
  • prescription medicines, unregistered medicines, human tissue, unsafe medical products or false therapeutic products;
  • firearms, ammunition, explosives, prohibited weapons, weapon components intended to evade the rule, or instructions whose primary purpose is unlawful harm;
  • tobacco, nicotine, vaping products, cannabis products and alcohol unless Aurelua creates and expressly approves a lawful category-specific programme;
  • recalled, banned, unsafe, expired or materially damaged goods that may create health or safety risk;
  • stolen or unlawfully obtained personal information, identity documents, government credentials, financial-account access, payment instruments or hacking tools;
  • child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate content, exploitative services, trafficking-related material or unlawful hate or incitement content;
  • financial instruments, credit, investments, insurance, cryptocurrency, cash, stored-value accounts or regulated financial services unless separately approved through a licensed programme;
  • products or services that enable money laundering, sanctions evasion, fraud, impersonation or unlawful surveillance;
  • live animals, endangered species products or unlawfully sourced wildlife; and
  • any Product prohibited by law, a court or regulator, a Payment Provider or Aurelua’s published category rule.

3. Restricted products

The following require Aurelua’s written category approval before listing. Approval may require licences, invoices, certificates, test reports, age controls, specialist delivery or enhanced Seller checks.

  • Branded, luxury, collectible or high-fraud goods. Original supplier invoices, serial or style codes, authorisation or recognised authentication, and images of the actual item.
  • Used or refurbished electronics. Ownership and source, serial or IMEI, accurate condition, data wipe, accessories, battery and repair history, and applicable second-hand dealer status.
  • Food, beverages, supplements and cosmetics. Compliant labelling, ingredients, batch and expiry, storage, claims, traceability and relevant registration or licence.
  • Health, wellness and medical devices. SAHPRA or category review, lawful claims, instructions, warnings and special-data assessment.
  • Age-restricted goods. Legal permission, reliable age verification, marketing limits and controlled delivery.
  • Jewellery and precious materials. Source, composition and grade, valuation, hallmark, and conflict or illegal-source controls.
  • Tickets, vouchers and digital codes. Transferability, source, expiry, fraud and reversal risk, and buyer-delivery evidence.
  • Personalised, perishable or hygiene-sensitive goods. Clear specification, shelf life and storage, sealed condition, and accurate cancellation and return disclosure.
  • Services, downloads or subscriptions. Aurelua feature support, fulfilment evidence, renewal terms, consumer cancellation and IP rights.

4. Branded goods and authenticity

A Seller must not use “inspired by”, “mirror”, “1:1”, “AAA”, “UA”, deliberate misspellings or disclaimers to sell counterfeit goods. A low price, a copied catalogue image or a claimed gift or source is not authenticity evidence.

For a requested check, the Seller must provide original and unaltered evidence showing the chain of source, item identifiers and actual condition. Aurelua may contact the brand, authorised distributor, authenticator or law-enforcement body where lawful.

Aurelua may require pre-approval for specified brands or price bands, sample-check approved listings and permanently exclude repeat or deliberate counterfeit Sellers.

5. Listing standards

  • Use photographs of the actual Product unless a lawful stock image is clearly labelled and the delivered item matches it.
  • State brand, model, size, colour, material, quantity, condition, defects, repair or refurbishment, origin and included accessories accurately.
  • Disclose grey-market status, missing local warranty, locked devices, replacement parts or compatibility limits where relevant.
  • Do not make an unproven safety, health, performance, scarcity or environmental claim.
  • Do not keyword-spam with another brand or use a rights-holder’s logo as a store identity without permission.
  • Keep source and compliance evidence for the period Aurelua specifies and at least while claims could reasonably arise.

6. Evidence and review

Aurelua may use risk indicators such as brand, price, Seller history, complaint patterns, image similarity, device and account links, payment risk and missing evidence. A flag is not proof. It triggers proportionate review.

While reviewing, Aurelua may hide the listing, stop new Orders, hold a related payout where justified, request evidence and contact affected Buyers. A Seller must respond within the stated time. False, edited or purchased evidence is a serious breach.

7. Notice and takedown

A rights-holder or other affected person may report a listing to info@aurelua.com. The notice should identify the claimant and authority, the right or law involved, the exact URL or listing, the alleged problem, supporting evidence, contact details and a good-faith statement.

Aurelua may remove or restrict material while investigating and may send the notice to the Seller. A Seller’s counter-notice must identify the lawful basis and attach evidence. Aurelua may restore material only if satisfied that doing so is reasonable and lawful. Court orders and competent-authority requests take priority.

8. Product safety and recalls

A Seller must immediately stop sales and notify Aurelua if it learns of a safety issue, prohibited defect, regulator warning or recall. The Seller must identify affected Orders and cooperate with notices, collection, repair, replacement, refund, disposal and regulatory reporting. Aurelua may notify Buyers directly where safety requires.

9. Enforcement

Depending on seriousness and history, Aurelua may educate or warn, require edits or evidence, remove a listing, cancel and refund Orders, restrict a category, hold related funds, suspend or terminate an account, preserve records, notify a provider, rights-holder or regulator, or report suspected crime. Measures must be proportionate. Urgent risk may require immediate action.

A Seller may request review by supplying complete evidence. A review does not require Aurelua to reinstate an unlawful or unacceptably risky Product.
